Maybe we'll meet

Maybe we'll meet sometime.
Maybe I’ll even know.
Maybe you'll look away,
maybe I let you go.

My way’s only a path,
where people slowly walk.
Heading further away,
others rush on main road.

Sometimes I eagerly
wish for the distant lights,
still, I dream on alone,
through starless, silent nights.

And though I hear you call
my name in falling rain,
the words lost in the storm,
only echoes remain.

Maybe we'll meet sometime,
maybe there'll be a day...
With wrinkles on my face,
maybe I’ll look away.

Talán találkozunk

Talán találkozunk majd.
Talán tudni fogom.
Talán épp félrenézel,
És én talán hagyom.

Hol lassan jár az ember,
Ösvény az én utam.
Más távolabbra indul,
Autópályán rohan.

Hiába hívogatnak
Neonfény városok,
Útvesztőben a lelkem,
Csak egy helyben topog.

Ha vágyakozva nézem
A messzi fényeket,
Tudom hiába vársz rám:
Hozzád nem érhetek.

Talán találkozunk majd.
Talán tudni fogom.
Talán majd félrenézek,
Ráncokkal arcomon.

    Remarkably woven,

delicately treated romance and sorrow of wilderness ,

Beautiful photos, in witch town do you live? I know so little about your country.

    1. Dear Ida! Thank you so much for your lovely words! I live in Pécs, it lays in South Hungary, at the southern side of Mecsek mountain. In this post, only the last photo was taken here. :-) It's a very lovely place with lots of historical memories, and an old university. This area has a pleasant climate, but right now it is not noticeable. :-)
I wish you a happy week, Ida! Big hugs!

  5. It's a lovely poem and some beautiful photos. I want to travel to Hungary one day. I'm not sure when but I always wanted to travel to Budapest and I'm sure the countryside is also very nice.

    1. Thank you! I think Budapest is really beautiful. I especially love Danube, and its bridges. And there are even other lovely areas of Hungary, like Lake Balaton, or my city, Pécs. :-) If you ever visit the city, I’ll gladly show you the best sights. :-)

  6. Beautiful, beautiful words and a wonderful series of images.
Also the comments are very interesting. I googled your town... indeed, "the first university in Hungary was founded in Pécs in 1367". You had a university when we were still living in caves. :D
The city and the surrounding countryside look very beautiful. Ha, I also learned that Pécs is twinned with the city of Lahti. :)
Have a lovely weekend, Edit! Big hugs! ♥

    1. Thank you, Sara! I read your comment to my elder son, and he said laughing that it seemed the tables have turned since the 14th century then. :-) My younger son is attending the university in Pécs and I earned my degree there as well so we can guide you around if you ever want to check it out :-)
      Big hugs! ♥

    2. It would be lovely! :)
For some reason, my blog list (in the sidebar) is not showing some blogs correctly. Yours is one of them, I don't know what's going on this time but I'm working on it.
      Happy Sunday... evening! ♥
