In the end of summer

It is still too hot during the days.
It is still so good to swim in the lakes.
It is still a light-hearted butterfly.
It is still the sun-bleached blue summer sky.

The scent of the air has already changed.
The summer photos are already framed.
We have warmer colours and cooler nights.
We have longer shadows and deeper lights.

And everything whispers about the fall.
The birds are on way obeying the call.
This is now the summer's farewell kiss,
Sweet lazy sparkling days, you will be missed.

mamamamamama

mama, I am thirsty
mama, I need to pee
mama, now tell a tale
mama, please, answer me

mama, let's bake a cake
mama, can I help you
oh, this egg's broken, I
bring a new one for you

mama, listen to me
I am handy, am I
look, I paint here, for you
a big Sun to the sky

mama, don't cook, don't sew
mama, just play with me
it's a secret magic
I'm a little fairy

mama, let's spin around
till we begin to fly
mama, please pick me up
because that is too high

mama, come, take my hand
mama, look here, where I'm
mama, I hide somewhere
mama, come, find me now

mama, I am so bored
I go with you, mama
mama, you'll see how good
how good I'll be, mama

mama, dark is the sky
I am so scared, mama
mama, hug me, hold tight
take me home, dear mama

mama, szomjas vagyok
mama, pisilni kell
mama, mesélj nekem
mama, kérlek felelj

mama, süssünk sütit

mama, segíthetek
mama, ez összetört
hozok újat neked

mama, figyelj most rám

ugye, ügyes vagyok
ide festek neked
nézd, egy vidám napot

mama, ne főzz, ne varrj

mama, játssz most velem
nézd, egy tündér vagyok
ez egy varázsköpeny

mama, forogj velem

mama, vegyél most fel
mama, segíts nekem
azt ott nem érem el

mama, fogd a kezem

mama, nézd, hol vagyok
mama, keress majd meg
mama, most elbújok

mama, unatkozom

mama, én is megyek
mama, meglátod majd
milyen jó is leszek

mama, sötét az ég

én úgy félek, mama
mama, ölelj most át
mama, vigyél haza

My grandmother and I. I called her "mama".

Embraced by clouds

The Sky reached to the Earth,
waited for sacrifice.
The Earth promised a girl,
blindfolded her blue eyes.

She did not hope for grace,
miracles have gone by...
The clouds embraced around...
The Earth reached to the Sky.

Csodák nélkül

Az Ég a Földig ért,
szűz áldozatra várt.
A Föld egy lányt ígért,
levágta szép haját.

Felhő ölelte át,

kegyelmet nem remélt.
Hisz nincsenek csodák...
S a Föld az Égig ért.

Summer blue

July... Lazy clouds,
Bright sky... Forever changing
Blue and white painting.

My little summer door decoration... :-) It also has an autumn pair. :-)

This blue and white blanket is the biggest thing I have ever crocheted... and maybe the only one... :-)

This dress was my grandmother's. She sewed it, and it is still beautiful.

Blue memories

Blue was the sky and blue were your eyes,
Some lost pictures and some worn out lies.
Blue stream ran and drifted away all,
All memories what we could recall.

Blue was your dress and blue was your song,
It reassured me, then let me go on.
Blue was the swing and blue was your word,
Blue ribbons flew, my deluded world.

Blue was the flame and blue was the rain,
Silent blue grave stood beyond the pain.
Blue was the lake, and blue was the flood,
Little boat deep, deep down in the mud.

Blue was the way, and your smile was blue,
For me the past always will be blue.
Old blue summer, and your ice-blue heart,
You were the mum, and I was your child.

Walks in the flowery-count's garden

"How much happier anonymity is than rank and goddamn social obligations. That is why I think the only way I give meaning to the wealth left to me is by discarding it. If I am the flowery-count, the fool." (Count István Ambrózy-Migazzi)

One of the most beautiful botanical gardens in Hungary is the Jeli arboretum. It can be found in South West Hungary, next to the village Kám. It was established by Count István Ambrózy-Migazzi in 1922.

István Ambrózy-Migazzy (1869 - 1933)

His life goal was to create forever flowering gardens in our area.

The grave of the "flowery-count" is near the arboretum.
On his gravestone, his motto can be read:

"Semper Vireo"

Some photos were taken back in 2004, on a cloudy day, sometimes in drizzling rain... the others were taken in this May, in bright sunny weather... :-)

Fragile dream-fluffs just the stars
of opal-blue midsummer nights,
rocking away in the breeze.

Silent song of the trees
awakens the lazy lake,
rising sun hugs the leaves,
and paints a bridge on the waves.
