Fig cake

A tiny, whimsy fig
hangs swinging on a twig,
and sings he has a wish:
to be just like a pig,
so pink, and round, and big.

I'd like to keep my fit,
but one day, I will pick
that tiny, whimsy fig,
and bake a cake from it,
like that one in the pic.

And I won't leave a bit,
so I would have to dig
the garden and not sit,
or I'll be like a pig,
so pink, and round, and big.

Fügés süti

Apró füge lóg az ágon,
azt dalolja: "Van egy álmom:
megnövök majd olyan nagyra,
mint egy rózsaszín malacka."

Fitt maradjak, arra vágyom.
De a fügét megkívánom.
Sütit sütök, mint a képen,
egyszer az lesz majd ebédem.

Futnom kéne kint a réten,
és nem itt bent üldögélnem,
mert meghízom olyan nagyra,
mint egy gömbölyű malacka.

  2. A figgy pudding would fair as well. haha. Loved your use of food and Seussian rhythm. I don't know much about figs but this kind of pigged (piqued) my interest.

In today's newspaper a big supermarket was advertising figs - they come from outside Europe... :(
